Leave marriage for real life please. Or games that it would actually make sense to get married. GWs would not make sense.

If there are marriages in this game... then I am opening a law firm in game for all the divorces that will come with it... 10% commission for handling the case to make sure that 50% of total gold in the storage is evenly divided... I can roll with that and probably get Obi armor in the first week! Gives a new meaning to gold diggers...

After farming multiple sets of obsidian armor and hitting r12, I guess I do need something else to do with my huge e-peen.

While it's an alright idea to waste time and as you said a money sink but,
A) Arenanet just aren't going to do it, what with them "apperently" working their asses off with Gw2.
B) Also then there is the whole religion thing can't just implement one religion's views and ideas of marriage.
So I guess I'll /sign even though I know it's not going to happen.

What is this? Sims? It's A). Off-course and B). A lot of time and effort.
We're fighting demons here, not making a family.

I'm against it because it's (I'll say it again) creepy. I have nothing against nerdy, or silly or whatever but it's CREEPY and I say this from a mom's POV.
|
I'm not a mom, I have a boyfriend, and I think it's creepy too.
Besides, if you really want to simulate a GW marriage with someone, you can do it yourself. There's plenty of pretty armour that you can use to dye white/black if you want outfits and everything.

Marriage marriage marriage, but how about the divorce...? If you inplement a marriage system, you have to implement a divorce system too.
I dont mind being the dedicated GW lawyer if you pay me a fee of 2k to legalize the marriage and 200k for a divorce.

Reason:
Your suggestion are for players who wants to get married, and ONLY those who wants to get married.
What about players who have no wish what-so-ever to get married in the game? They are "unable to participate" in those quests and getting those item you've suggested.
so for something that only benefit a tiny number of players, why bother?

Lol nice point you have with the "why bother".
But I disagree with the rest: People who have no wish to become Necromancers will be unable to participate as necromancers, people who have no wish to buy Nightfall will be unable to play Nightfall, people who have no wish to eat a drake kabob will be unable to obtain it's abilities. "put in unwilling person" will be unable to "put in what that person is unwilling to go through the hardship to obtain".
Fact is that some want to do this kind of thing and some do not want to. If people want those items yet don't want to get married they can buy them from others or take the sweet with the sour and get married anyways.
